Air freight questions
When is air freight worth the cost?
When the cargo is urgent, high in value per kilo, or will not survive weeks at sea. If only part of an order is urgent, fly that part and ship the rest.
How is air freight priced?
On actual or volumetric weight, whichever is higher. Volumetric weight is length by width by height in centimetres, divided by 6,000.
Can you send personal effects by air?
Yes. List the items and their approximate value so they can be declared correctly.
Can you move dangerous goods?
Tell us at booking and send the safety data sheet. Lithium batteries, aerosols and flammable liquids are each quoted case by case.
